About the Band

What’s Up, Bach! are thrilled to announce their triumphant return to the Ocean Mist on Saturday, August 16th, for their Record Release party! The band are returning home to the O’Mist after last summer’s sold out show for a special ‘one night only’ event. This evening with What’s Up, Bach! should not be missed. Founded in 1989 by original members Kurt Carlson and Terry O’Brien, What’s Up, Bach! were one of the region’s pioneering bands that helped to craft the ‘Reggae-Rock’ and ‘Jam-Band’ genres in the 1990’s, along with bands like Sublime and 311. Fronted by the legendary Andrew Niering on vocals and percussion, WUB interweave traditional Reggae, Funk, and Psychedelic Jam Rock into their own unique and highly danceable musical journey that has thrilled audiences far and wide. Their sets combine their exceptional originals with a choice selection of songs by Bob Marley and Grateful Dead, each re-forged into their hallmark Reggae-Funk-Jam-Rock sonic signature. Anchored by Matt Niebels on drums, Steve Capasso on bass and the elusive Sir Rockingham on lead guitar, WUB will Rock your world.
