Capturing Rainwater and DIY Rain Barrel Class

Capturing stormwater is a great way to conserve water in the garden as well as reduce runoff and pollution in our water sources. Learn the basics of collecting rainwater and its benefits for water conservation. We'll also cover what is needed to build your own rain barrel, its installation and maintenance, and using harvested rainwater as a non-potable water source for irrigating yards and gardens.
This class is free and open to the public. There will be an option to construct your own rain barrel to take home and use in your garden. Cost to make a rain barrel is $40 to cover materials. Rain barrel construction is limited to the first 20 registrants.
