"Healthy Soils, Clean Waters" composting workshop

The Composting Association of Vermont and Northwest Vermont Solid Waste District are hosting a FREE workshop on Wednesday, September 17th at Worthen Library.

The event runs from 4:30 - 6:00pm. The first half is a lecture-style presentation. The second half is hands-on demonstrations and interactive activities.

"Healthy Soils, Clean Waters: A Watershed Approach to Protecting the Lake Champlain Basin" explores the vital connections between soil health and water quality. This workshop highlights practical strategies that engaged groups and individuals can implement in their communities to reduce erosion, improve soil structure, and safeguard local waterways.

Light refreshments will be provided. Registration is not required but is encouraged.
