SOUTH HAVEN, MI - Have you ever tasted a pump, juicy ear of sweet corn on the cob cooked by a 1900’s steam traction engine?
Cooking (and eating) the corn is one of the many activities during the upcoming Michigan Flywheelers Museum’s Antique Engine and Tractor Show.
Along with hundreds of antique farm machinery, the show which runs Thursday, Sept. 4 through Sunday, Sept. 7, 2025 features daily entertainment, a large outdoor flea market, antique tractor pulls, kids activities and more.

“Yeah, we hear from a lot of our visitors that the first thing they do when they get here is get some corn,” admits Pat Ingalls, museum president.
Cooked by an antique Nichols and Shepard steam traction engine, the lines are usually pretty long waiting for members who wearing long rubber gloves, husk the steaming corn after it comes out and smother it in butter. Over 2,000 ears are cooked over the four day show.
