Learn all the Basics of Responsible Beekeeping - Bunbury Course

Topics covered during the course include...

Occupational Health and Safety (looking after the Beekeeper)
Biosecurity and bee diseases (Looking after our bees)
Beekeeping equipment
Assembling and maintaining hives
Buying bees and bee equipment
Selecting bee site
Opening and inspection of hives
Seasonal management of hives
Honey extraction

You’ll also do some hands-on inspecting of a hive at the WAAS Greater Bunbury Region Apiary and learn how best to light your smoker.

Cost $169
Includes light lunch and morning tea.

You will receive a Beekeeping Handbook, course notes, additional useful information and an official WAAS Certificate of Completion.
