Known for their signature approach — what they describe as "gentle brutalism" — Richards & Spence masterfully balance reductive materiality with structural monumentality. They aim to create spaces that are as inviting as they are striking.

From vibrant civic hubs to seamless blends of retail, hospitality, and urban fabric, the duo’s work has redefined contemporary architecture in Brisbane and beyond.

The conversation will be facilitated by Dr Kirsty Volz, Senior Lecturer in Architecture at QUT.
