For the second time, Rattery is host to a unique scale model train event. With the Rattery Little Train Show, we intend to entertain and inspire you. Come and see the marvellous work our passionate exhibitors have created. We have over 13 layouts and entrance is only £4.50 (£3 after 1pm). 17 years and younger are free.
The headliner is the Dartmoor 009 Group, who will show you their long modular narrow gauge layout. The scenes depict stations and countryside, based on or inspired by real places in Devon.
Even though that layout is worth a visit alone, we will be filling the hall with many model train layouts. Some will charm you with their small size and many small details. Others will have more operational train traffic on show.
We encourage you to strike up conversation and ask what you want to know to get started with your family.
But there will be more than just trains. You can get “behind the wheel” of remote controlled mini racing cars and race against other visitors. For those who feel inspired to create something on the spot, we have boxes with Lego set up for you to let your creativity go wild. For instance, create scenery for the Lego Intercity train, which you also can control.
