Ever wished you could fix a broken lamp, mend a zip, or get your bike back in working order—without it costing the earth? That’s exactly what Repair Cafés are all about, and we’d love your help in bringing one back to Ivybridge!
Join us on Tuesday 4th November, 7pm–8.30pm at Ivybridge Library for a community consultation event hosted by the Share Shed - A Library of Things in partnership with CAG Devon, Network of Wellbeing and Libraries Unlimited.
At the event, you’ll:
🔧 Learn what Repair Cafés are and how they work
🌍 Discover their positive impact on waste, money-saving, and community connections
💬 Share your views on whether Ivybridge should host one
✅ Find out how you could get involved as a visitor, volunteer, or supporter
Some of you may remember the much-loved Repair Café once held at Makers Mews, which sadly closed last year. This is our chance to build on that legacy and reimagine a new Repair Café for our town.
📅 When: Tuesday 4th November
🕖 Time: 7pm – 8.30pm
📍 Where: Ivybridge Library
💲 Cost: Free – all welcome!
Together, let’s spark a culture of repair, reuse, and community spirit in Ivybridge. We’d love to see you there!
