Introduction to Archery at Platte River State Park

Want to see what archery is all about? Never held a bow before? Not sure where to begin? Join us for our introduction to archery! This easy-going program covers basic archery equipment, range rules and procedures, along with starter techniques. This program will introduce you to both compound and recurve bows and will give you an opportunity to learn about and use a crossbow as well!

All equipment is provided; however, you are permitted to bring your own bow and arrows. (If you provide your own bow, you must provide your own arrows as well). Price is $25 per participant. Ages 8 and older. Participants aged 18 and younger must be accompanied by their legal parent/guardian.
