Un dedalo di stradine che mostrano ancora il tracciato di origine romana e offrono numerose opere storicoarchitettoniche e religiose da ammirare. Punti interessanti sono tra i tanti il Sedil Dominova antica loggia dei nobili sorrentini di recente restaurata il Duomo con facciata neogotica la basilica di Sant’Antonino la chiesa di S.Francesco d’Assisi con un piccolo chiostro trecentesco e l'antico borgo della Marina Grande famoso scenario cinematografico scelto per girare alcune scene del celeberrimo film “Pane Amore e..” con Sophia Loren e Vittorio De Sica. Il percorso si concluderà con una visita (facoltativa) al Museo Correale di Terranova definito “il più bel museo di provincia d’Italia” per la varietà e ricchezza delle opere d’arte raccolte.

Su richiesta lungo il percorso è possibile aggiungere la visita del museo multimediale Sorrento Experience.

Old Town Walking Tours

We will explore together the historic centre of Sorrento through history & cinema. A maze of narrow streets that still show Roman road system and offer many architectural and religious works to admire such as the Sedil Dominova an ancient loggia of local patricians recently restored the Cathedral with its neo-Gothic façade the church of S. Francesco d'Assisi with a fascinating 14th century cloister. While the charming fishing village of Marina Grande is the famous film set location of "Scandal in Sorrento” starring Sophia Loren and Vittorio De Sica. The itinerary will end with the (optional) visit to the Correale Museum defined as “the most beautiful provincial museum of Italy” for the richness of its art collections.

Upon request during the tour we can add a visit to the Sorrento Experience multimedia museum.
