Ever watched a switch dance enviously from the sidelines? Struggled to steal in for a birthday jam? Worry not – your chance to level up your switches and steals has arrived! Not only is learning both roles helpful for improving your dance skills, switching and stealing is just plain fun. This special mini-intensive will grow your confidence in both roles, teach you the ins and outs of how to switch and steal, and open your eyes to creative possibilities!
If you can’t easily and confidently dance a left side pass, underarm turn, push break, tuck, and basic whip as BOTH a leader and follower, please arrive at 6:30pm for an accelerated beginner class to get you up to speed.
We’re also running a beginner bootcamp this Saturday! For specific details, please check out

We have residential neighbors at this venue who appreciate their sleep and their resident-only parking spots. ABOUT MEGAN, ALLI, & MAXWELL
Megan started dancing at the age of 3 beginning with ballet and tap. She's tried almost every style of dance from contemporary to salsa. After years of competitive ballroom dancing she discovered west coast swing and the joy that it brings. She left ballroom for west coast swing about 7 years ago and hasn't looked back.
Alli is one of many who found their love for west coast swing as an undergrad in Neal Klein’s class at Lesley University. She brings a unique flair to the dance floor with extensive roots in the marching arts, musical theater, and somatic movement practices. As a west coast swing professional, Alli has over a decade of experience as a nationally-ranked competitor and sought-after instructor, blending technical precision and humor to put the fun into “fun”damentals. She delights in helping dancers across the country discover their playful side on the dance floor!
Max started west coast swing in college as an outlet from his music education major. He quickly fell in love with the dance, seeking a wide range of perspectives and techniques. With a background as both an educator and a musician, Max is known for his rhythmic soul and passion for partnership on the social floor and as a nationally-ranked competitor, currently competing at the all-star level. Off the floor and outside of the classroom, he dedicates himself to making his house a home through DIY projects. A Washington state native who transplanted to Boston in 2019, Max has had the privilege of teaching throughout both the Pacific Northwest and the Northeast, with energetic classes that make higher-level technique accessible to all dancers.
