Special Presentation: Gravitational Lenses: The Universe's Grandest Cosmic Telescopes!

A special presentation as part of the monthly meeting of the Franklin Township Astronomy Club! Did you know the universe has its own natural magnifying glasses? Gravitational lenses created by massive galaxies and galaxy clusters can bend and magnify light across space, allowing us to see objects billions of light-years away. Come hear Rutgers Physics PhD candidate Lana Eid explain how these "cosmic telescopes" reveal hidden corners of the universe. Tuesday, September 16th at the Franklin Township Public Library.
