The Pike River Cleanup is an initiative coordinated by Root-Pike-Win and the Kenosha Sportfishing and Conservation Association to keep the Pike River enjoyable for all – road bikes, kayakers, hikers, fishermen, runners, joggers and environmentalists.
Anyone can help! The Pike River Cleanup is appropriate for all ages and skill levels. All volunteers are meeting on 9/20 from 8:30am - 12pm in area #4 at Petrifying Springs Park.
What to bring:
- Work shoes, knee-high boots
- Work gloves
- Work coveralls
- Hip boots or waders
- Reacher sticks or long steel rakes
- Canoes, kayaks or flat bottom boat
- Fishing magnets
Small businesses, private donors and corporations can sponsor the Pike River Cleanup $200/sponsor. This covers food, snacks, water, gloves, trash bags, transportation and supports KSFCA club activities.
