Somers Point’s Music Legacy Flows up the
Mississippi to Memphis and The Jersey Shore!!
The roots of our rock n’ roll legacy flowed up & down the Mississippi to New Orleans and Memphis before they spread to the Jersey Shore.
This enrapturing rock n’ roll legacy will again be the star of the concerts on the beach in Somers Point on Friday August 22nd when Tony Mart’s rock n’ roll & country star, Conway Twitty’s grandson Tre Twitty, takes time from his national tour with the daughter of Loretta Lynn and performs a special legacy tribute to the rock n’ roll of Sun Studios in Memphis, where Elvis Presley was the star recording artist along with Johnny Cash, Carl Perkins, Jerry Lee Lewis, Conway Twitty, and many other iconic figures in rock n’ roll history Tre Twitty will pay tribute to them in an unforgettable legacy concert with The Nighthawks, one of the world’s greatest roots, rockin’ blues bands, and The Reverend Billy C. Wirtz, boogie woogie piano player supreme in a two hour plus concert.
The legendary Sam Phillips, producer at Sun Studios in Memphis, said that the greatest vocalist that ever recorded with him was a guy named Chester Arthur Burnett who became known as one of the greatest blues singers in the history of American music, Howlin’ Wolf!
The synchronicity and karmic connectivity of the greatest music in history will flow together in ecstasy when The Nighthawks perform the music of Howlin’ Wolf and all that rock n’ roll at this special two hour plus concert on the beach in Somers Point starting at 7pm.
This is why Legacy Concerts on the Beach in Somers Point are the #1 outdoor concert series in the country again this year!
