Die Konzertfotografin Miriam Ritler ist bekannt für ihre eindrucksvollen Bilder aus der Metal-Szene.
Doch als 2020 die Bühnen verstummten, entstand etwas Neues. Die rohe, unverfälschte Emotion, die Miriam sonst mit der Kamera auf Konzerten einfängt, soll nun mit Ölfarbe auf Leinwand, mit Pinsel und Farbe, in einer neuen Dimension dargestellt werden. Es entstehen Interpreationen von Momenten, nicht so, wie sie waren, sondern so, wie sie sich anfühlen.
André Scheidegger begleitet Miriam mit seiner Filmkamera vom Einsatz im Fotograben über den ersten Pinselstrich bis zur eigenen Ausstellung und erzählt dabei eine tiefere Geschichte. Diese wird weit persönlicher als die Liebe zur Musik. Es ist ein Film über Inspiration und dem Lösen von Erwartungen, über das Zweifeln und Weiterkommen, über Neuanfang und alte Muster, über das Glücklichsein und der Liebe zur Melancholie – über Pefektionismus und den Wunsch diesen zu überwinden. Es ist ein Film über das Erschaffen und Zerstören – im Bild, aber auch im kreativen Prozesses.

André Scheidegger wirft einen persönlichen Blick auf den Entstehungsprozess und fängt das ein, was bleibt, wenn wir loslassen.

Gekoppelt an eine Ausstellung von Miriam Ritler wird der Film am 6. und 7. Dezember in der Rothushalle in Solothurn gezeigt.

December 6-7 – Rothushalle Solothurn.
Concert photographer Miriam Ritler is known for her impressive images from the metal scene.�But when the stages fell silent in 2020, something new began to take shape. The raw, unfiltered emotion that Miriam usually captures through her camera at concerts now finds expression in a new dimension – through oil on canvas, with brushes and paint. The result is not a depiction of moments as they were, but as they feel.
André Scheidegger accompanies Miriam with his film camera – from her work in the photo pit to her first brushstroke and finally to her own exhibition – telling a deeper story.�A story far more personal than about the love for music. It is a film about inspiration and the courage to let go of expectations; about doubt and persistence; about new beginnings and old habits; about happiness and a love of melancholy – about perfectionism, and the desire to overcome it.�A film about creation and destruction – not only in painting, but within the creative process itself.
With a deeply personal lens, André Scheidegger captures what remains when we dare to let go.

In conjunction with an exhibition by Miriam Ritler, the film will be shown on 6th and 7th of December at the Rothushalle in Solothurn.
