Develop the ability to evaluate hooves, distinguishing between different structures and their functions.
Apply trimming guidelines with precision, making informed and accurate cuts.
Understand the Four Guiding Principles of the Natural Trim and recognize violations such as overtrimming, scalping, aggressive mustang roll, and resections.
Learn to assess and refine your approach to hoof handling, ensuring safe and effective interactions with live horses.
Gain proficiency with trimming tools and learn how to sequence a horse correctly.
Develop an eye for detail in hoof balance, recognizing subtle changes and their impact on soundness.
This comprehensive training is just the beginning of a much broader and more intricate skillset. You will also understand the limitations of the Natural Trim and the importance of a holistic approach to hoof care through the Four Pillars of Natural Horse Care (NHC).
After the Clinic:
Your learning doesn’t stop when the clinic ends! You will receive ongoing online support to reinforce your knowledge, along with visual learning resources from your training sessions. This ensures that what you’ve learned stays fresh and applicable until your next hands-on practice.
