Брод е спектакъл-разказ за границата и пътя - към съня, към желаното, към възможното, към отвъдното. По тази граница стъпва архетипа на ковача - създател и пазител, свой и чужд едновременно, винаги тайнствен образ, запазен през вековете. Заедно с него, в историята се вплитат българските приказки, митология и многоликата вселена с въпросите си за избора и съдбата.
Ще проследим пътя на Боян, от утробата и сънищата на майка му, Мария, през израстването му в ковачницата, предавана от поколение на поколение в рода му.
Когато ковашките му умения започват да достигат невъзможното и свръхестественото, те неизбежно привличат сенки от друг свят. Запленен и вдъхновен от самодивите високо в планината, силен и самоуверен, Боян намира начин да спре сенките ... или да загуби себе си.
Верига и ръжѐн до огъня хвърлени
Разделят нощта от дневната пещ
Усукват и трият силуети овъглени
Пазейки пламъка на бледата свещ
Лепкави сенки в ъглите кроят
Шевици без плът и увиват се в мрака
В червено облечени искрите предат
На тъмния зов наметало в отплата
Гледат към мен виелици търсещи
Път към отсамното, брод през смъртта
Дращят прозорците с нокти прекършени
Търсят живота, огласят нощта
Брод няма, огледало това е
Сънят и отвъдното разделят се тук
В косите ти огнен дъх си играе
Поглежда в очите ти и вече си друг

Brod is a performance-story about the boundary and the path — toward dreams, toward desire, toward the possible, toward the beyond. Walking this boundary is the archetype of the blacksmith — creator and guardian, both familiar and foreign, an eternally mysterious figure preserved through the centuries. Alongside him, Bulgarian fairy tales, mythology, and the many-faced universe intertwine, carrying their questions about choice and destiny.
We will follow the path of Boyan — from the womb and the dreams of his mother, Maria, through his upbringing in the forge passed down from generation to generation in his family.
When his blacksmithing skills begin to reach the impossible and the supernatural, they inevitably attract shadows from another world. Captivated and inspired by the samodivas high in the mountains, strong and self-assured, Boyan finds a way to stop the shadows… or to lose himself.
Chain and iron spit cast into the fire
Divide the night from the day’s hot pyre
Twisting, erasing charred silhouettes
Guarding the flame of a candle that frets
Sticky shadows plot in the corners’ embrace
Weaving patterns of void, vanishing in space
Dressed in red, sparks are spinning their thread
For the dark call’s cloak, a gift in its stead
Blizzards gaze at me, searching, astray
For a path to this side, a crossing through clay
Scratching the windows with broken nails dire
Seeking out life, proclaiming the night’s choir
No ford awaits — only a mirror’s gleam
Here sleep and the beyond are split at the seam
In your hair a fiery breath is at play
It looks in your eyes — and you’re already away
