When the lively MORITZ WEIß KLEZMER TRIO from Styria plays, sparks fly. With clarinet, guitar and double bass, they create soundscapes that invite wonder, encourage lively dancing or touch the soul with sensuality. On the 23rd of October they will be bringing the magic of Modern Klezmer to Schroedinger Bar!
Once rooted in the diverse world of klezmer, today they focus primarily on their own compositions and playful interpretations. For over ten years, the three gentlemen from Styria have been devoting themselves to this exciting art of sound, retelling it in their wonderfully expanded musical language.
With their programme ‘Modern Klezmer’, they have compiled the most beautiful and rousing pieces from three published albums and offer a fascinating overview of the world of Eastern European klezmorim, including their own compositions, improvisations and interpretations – modern klezmer from Styria!
