What is the Exceptional Futures Highland Hootenanny?
Think of this as a college football tailgate meets a Blue Bird Café writer’s round. We’ll open doors at 6:30pm for appetizers & drinks. This is your time to hang out, mark a spot with a lawn chair or blanket, play some yard games, and get ready for the show. Then at 8pm, Ray Fulcher will take the stage to play some of his favorite songs and tell you the stories that went into writing them. All proceeds for the night benefit Exceptional Futures!
Who is Ray Fulcher?
Ray Fulcher is a Nashville-based singer/songwriter, who’s releases include “Anything Like You Dance”, “Love Ya Son, Go Dawgs”, and “All Gas, No Breaks”. In addition to his solo career, he’s written seven #1 for Luke Combs, including “When It Rains It Pours”, “Going, Going, Gone”, “Even Though I’m Leaving”, and “Lovin’ On You”. He’s also written for Cody Johnson, Riley Green, Jordan Davis, Kameron Marlowe, Muscadine Bloodline, and many more. You can check out his portfolio here:

What is Exceptional Futures?

Exceptional Futures fosters continued development for these individuals through social, recreational, and volunteer activities, giving them space to continue developing once they no longer qualify for government-provided resources. When & Where will the show be?
The show will be Friday, October 3 at 3021 Highland Drive SE, Smyrna, GA 30080. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.!
How do I get a ticket?
Your ticket to the show is a $50 donation to Exceptional Futures! Your donation is tax-deductible, and includes heavy hors d'oeuvres, plus light beer on draft and the night’s specialty cocktail, provided by Shake Up ATL. Please note: donations for this event must be made through the form on the Exceptional Futures website. The donation required for entry will increase to $55 on August 1.
What should I bring?
This is a backyard concert, so we’d recommend bringing a lawn chair or blanket. We will be providing appetizers and drinks, but you are welcome to bring a cooler with your own food and beverages if you prefer!
How will seating work?
We’re limiting capacity to ensure there won’t be a bad seat in the house, but seating will be first-come, first-served! You are encouraged to bring a blanket or lawn chair to hold down your spot once doors open, and once the lawn is filled we’ll have standing-room only sections to the side of the stage and in the back.
What if it rains?
This will be a rain or shine event. Should it rain the evening of the show, Ray will still play as long as it is safe to do so. Pay close attention to the weather the day of the show and bring a rain jacket / umbrella if needed! If weather conditions become unsafe, the event may be rescheduled, and a new date will be shared with all registrants.
I can't make the event, how can I support?
We're sad you can't make it! However, you can still support Exceptional Future's mission by donating directly through the page or volunteering at one of our many events. If you are unable to attend, please donate rather than buy a ticket, as ticket inventory is limited.
