'The Imaginary Invalid' Performances

Hypochondriac Argan is convinced he’s on the brink of death—despite having a small army of doctors, medicines, and medical bills to prove otherwise. Determined to keep free healthcare in the family, he plans to marry off his daughter to a future doctor… whether she likes it or not!

With clever servants, secret romances, outrageous “medical expertise,” and plenty of comedic chaos, The Imaginary Invalid pokes fun at snake oil salesmen, stubborn parents, and taking yourself way too seriously. Packed with fast-paced humor and larger-than-life characters, this classic comedy gets a fresh, energetic twist in our UIL One-Act Play production that’s guaranteed to make you laugh—and maybe feel just a little healthier on the way out.
