Time is approximate. Our celebration begins after the results of Saturday's tests are announced.
The evening will feature a Smoke Off competition, pitting some of our Chapter's own pitmasters against each other to determine who makes the most delicious ribs east of Mercer. We will have a team of our esteemed judges decide which is the lip-smacking best.
In addition to some of the world's best ribs, Saturday's buffet dinner will include lasagna, BBQ pulled chicken, meatballs, cornbread, and baked beans. If you wish to boost our side offerings, please bring something tasty from your kitchen, such as potato salad, pasta, macaroni salad, or mac and cheese. Following dinner, we will cut into a delicious anniversary cake from The Bankery in Skowhegan, one of the finest bakeries in Maine. (If you have been to The Bankery, we need not say more!)
The buffet dinner is $10 per person.
And to top off the evening, we will bring back our traditional Saturday night auction. Please bring your gently used canine-related items and hunting gear for the auction. There will be drawings for fun door prizes throughout the evening. Our new Chapter water bottles will also be available for sale. Proceeds from the auction and commemorative sales are earmarked for future facilities improvements.
Because of the time and resources focused on Saturday's celebration, the test weekend lunch offerings will be scaled back. We will have burgers, cheeseburgers, hot dogs, chips, cookies, and sodas. We are asking for a donation of $10 for lunch each day to defray costs.
