Ecstatic Dance Smithers is excited to announce that we will once again be hosting gatherings in the Bulkley Valley.
An Ecstatic Dance event is where we gather to honor and invoke the medicine that's found in movement, dance and play.
The intentions are centered around freedom of expression, inclusivity and sobriety so that we can focus on creating atmospheres that are safe and filled with joy and connection.
We have a few simple agreements to keep things as authentic as possible:
Talking is discouraged on the dance floor.
Phone use is discouraged on the dance floor.
Respect personal space and consent always.
The music is curated to take you on a journey of getting back into your body and self exploration.
Some people come to ecstatic dances to MOVE and relieve some stress, some show up to vibe and take it easy. There's no right or wrong way of doing it and all of you is welcome.
