Description: Join us for a refreshing winter walk focused on identifying trees and plants in their cold-season forms. Even without leaves or flowers, the landscape is full of clues. Bark patterns, buds, berries, seed heads, and growth habits all tell a story. On this guided hike, we’ll explore how to recognize common local trees, shrubs, and plants in winter, learn practical ID tips, and gain a deeper appreciation for the subtle beauty of the season. Dress warmly, wear sturdy footwear for snow, and bring your curiosity. Expect a relaxed pace with plenty of stops for observation and discussion. Meet at the Osprey House.
