Join us for an inspiring evening with acclaimed printmaker Hester Cox, as she shares insights into her creative journey, artistic process, and the stories behind her work.
Hester Cox is a Yorkshire Dales-based printmaker with a BA (Hons) in Illustration from Harrow School of Art & Design. Working primarily in collagraph, she has spent over 30 years exploring the medium’s potential through layered textures, intricate cutting, and à la poupée inking techniques.
A passionate fellrunner with a lifelong interest in natural history, Hester’s prints celebrate the beauty and fragility of the British landscape exploring themes of seasonal change, biodiversity, and her close encounters with wildlife.
Hester is a member of Leeds Fine Artists, Craven Arts, Printmakers Circle, and Ålgården Studios in Sweden. She has collaborated with a range of environmental and cultural organisations, including the Dales Countryside Museum, Peat Partnership, Curlew Action, and Wild Ingleborough. Her practice includes residencies, workshops, and exhibitions across the UK, and her work has been recognised by awards such as the New Lights Prize Exhibition and The Flourish Award for Excellence in Printmaking. Her collagraphs have been featured in numerous publications and she was recently profiled on BBC Countryfile.
Whether you're an artist, art lover, or simply curious about the creative process, this evening promises connection, inspiration, and a deeper appreciation of the artistic life.
