1-day Map Reading course

This 1-day Map Reading course is ideal for beginners, people who use phones/apps or people who enjoy walking in the countryside but follow others. This course will give you the key skills you need to safely and enjoyably plan and follow your own walks in the countryside.

With small group sizes, supportive learning in a relaxed and enjoyable environment, this course is your passport to freedom in the countryside.

We'll cover: planning, essential kit, weather, decision making, understanding maps, navigation strategies, using your compass, visualising the route ahead, always knowing where you are, cognitive 'active' navigation, relocation plus much more!
