Youth Ocean Conservation Summit

UGA Marine Extension and Georgia Sea Grant will host the state’s twelfth annual Youth Ocean Conservation Summit (YOCS) on Saturday, Feb. 21, 2026. The theme for this year is “Conservation Successes”.

The summit will take place at the UGA Marine Education Center and Aquarium on Skidaway Island near Savannah. YOCS is designed to empower middle and high school students across the country with the knowledge, skills, and resources necessary to successfully implement ocean conservation projects in their local communities. YOCS is offered to students in grades 6-12.
