Cyfarfod Cyntaf RDRN Cymru | Wales RDRN Inaugural Meeting

Croeso i gyfarfod wyneb yn wyneb cyntaf Rhwydwaith Ymchwil i Glefydau Prin Cymru.

Bydd y cyfarfod undydd hwn yn cynnwys pobl â phrofiad bywyd a sefydliadau eiriol, clinigwyr, ymchwilwyr a chynrychiolwyr o’r diwydiant. Gobeithiwn y bydd yr agenda sydd ynghlwm yn dechrau meithrin cymuned o ddiddordeb a fydd yn cefnogi mynediad gwell at ymchwil i glefydau prin yng Nghymru. Bydd yn cyfuno cydweithio, rhwydweithio a thrafodaeth i hyrwyddo cefnogaeth well i'n sefydliadau a'n cymunedau i gyflawni ceisiadau grant Cymru gyfan.

Bydd cyflwyniadau llafar a chyflwyniadau poster yn cael eu casglu ar gyfer y digwyddiad drwy Oxford Abstracts: httpSs://app.oxfordabstracts.com/stages/79521/submitter; bydd y dyddiad cau ar 12 Medi 2025. Byddwn yn beirniadu ac yn dewis y crynodebau buddugol erbyn 18 Medi 2025.

Dylai’r crynodebau a gyflwynir gadw at y fformat strwythuredig canlynol:

Strwythur: Dylai strwythur y crynodebau gynnwys adrannau ar gyfer Cefndir, Deunydd a Dulliau, Canlyniadau, a Chasgliad.

Terfyn Geiriau: Cyfyngir testun y crynodeb yn gyffredinol i 250 gair, heb gynnwys y teitl a'r awduron.

Dim Graffeg: Caniateir tablau (gan dynnu’r cyfrif geiriau), ond ni chaniateir graffigau.

Fformat y Cyflwyniad: Bydd y crynodebau a dderbynnir yn cael eu cyflwyno fel cyflwyniadau poster, a bydd y crynodebau gorau yn cael eu dewis ar gyfer cyflwyniadau llafar byr. Os nad ydych am gael eich ystyried ar gyfer cyflwyniad llafar, nodwch eich bod yn ffafrio 'cyflwyniad poster yn unig' wrth gyflwyno crynodeb.

Bydd y pwyllgor gwyddonol yn gwerthuso crynodebau ar sail perthnasedd i'r maes, gwreiddioldeb ac ymlyniad wrth y canllawiau uchod.

Darperir cinio ysgafn a bydd cyfleoedd i rwydweithio.

We welcome you to the inaugural in-person meeting for the Wales Rare Diseases Research Network.

This all-day meeting will include people with lived experience and advocate organisations, clinicians, researchers, and industry representatives. We hope the attached agenda will start to build a community of interest that will support the greater access to rare disease research in Wales. Combining collaboration, networking, and discussion to promote enhanced support to our organisations and communities to deliver on all-Wales grant applications.

Oral presentations and poster presentation submissions will be gathered for the event via Oxford Abstracts: https://app.oxfordabstracts.com/stages/79521/submitter, closing on 12th September 2025. We will judge and select winning abstracts by 18th September 2025.

Submitted abstracts should adhere to the following structured format:

Structure: Abstracts should be structured with sections for Background, Material and Methods, Results, and Conclusion.

Word Limit: The abstract text is generally limited to 250 words, excluding the title and authors.

No Graphics: Tables are allowed (with word count deductions), but graphics are not permitted.

Presentation Format: Accepted abstracts will be presented as poster presentations with the top abstracts being selected for short oral presentations. If you do not wish to be considered for an oral presentation, please select your preference of ‘poster presentation only’ during abstract submission.

Abstracts will be evaluated by the scientific committee on the basis of relevance to the field, originality and adherence to the above guidelines.

Light lunch will be provided and there will be opportunities for networking.
