Turn the Tide: Mine on the Move in Guisborough

Land of Iron is on the road again as we take Mine on the Move to Guisborough – the ancient capital of Cleveland.

With an incredible history of its own, Guisborough also saw an increase in population when mines were opened near the market town.

We will be bringing artefacts, documents, photographs and more to Guisborough Town Hall (in the old Shorty’s Gin premises) on Thursday 30 October.

Our family history experts will be on hand to help you track down information about your ancestors, or maybe just who used to live in your house many years ago!

Entry is free but please give a donation if you can spare one.
