25th Aniversary Of the Carlos Avery Fire

This October is the 25th Anniversary of the Big Carlos Avery Fire!
On the 20th of October at 7 pm, Rich Gabbrick , Linwood's Fire Chief at the time, with other fire fighters will share with us their stories of Linwood's role in coordinating the fire fighting that saved many of our homes here in Linwood. The meeting will be held at the Linwood Community Center (Senior Center). If you have pictures of this fire, please send them to us, or bring them to this meeting. 56 Fire Departments helped fight this fire. Linwood spent $73,690 fighting this fire. So where were you when Carlos Avery Exploded?
