Welcome to NDIS Connect: Sunshine Coast Networking, brought to you by the team at Quest Collective.
New here? No worries! Get ready for a morning of real connections, zero competition, and great coffee!
NDIS Connect is a high-energy, “speed dating-style” free networking event designed to bring together passionate people across the NDIS space, from Providers and Professionals to Participants, Carers, and supporters.
Whether you’re here to grow your network, explore collaboration, or just meet some like-minded legends, this is the place to be.
We’re kicking off the September gathering with a very special guest presentation from Jason Seneviratne, Founder and Behaviour Specialist from Pivotal Behaviour. Jason will be speaking on: "What’s Behind the Behaviour? From Function to Environment of Concern"
In this short but impactful session, Jason will help us understand:
Jason’s compassionate, human-rights-focused approach empowers families and professionals alike to see behaviour through a new, supportive lens.
About Jason:
Jason's career in behavioural support began 14 years ago after a close family member's traumatic brain injury inspired him to seek employment at a Brain Injury association. He started as a support worker, where he provided compassionate care and upheld human rights, while also receiving training on early restrictive practice guidelines in Queensland.
A pivotal experience at an international conference introduced him to the field of behavioural science, motivating him to earn a Post Graduate Degree in Applied Behaviour Analysis, later becoming a credentialed Behaviour Analyst.
In 2023, he founded Pivotal Behaviour and now leads a team of 10 professionals in Brisbane and the surrounding areas.
Jason's approach is centred on building capacity, breaking down barriers, and promoting growth, inclusion, and independence. He achieves positive results by collaborating with families and prioritising social connections, which he sees as fundamental to his service philosophy. He applies his knowledge of behavioural science to tailor interventions for individuals with conditions such as Autism, mental health issues, intellectual disabilities, and trauma.
Who Should Come?
If you’re part of the NDIS world, as a Provider, Allied Health professional, Participant, Carer, Guardian, Support coordinator, or Specialist, this space is for you. Come along to learn, share and connect!
