The Depths (Romans Chapters 9-11)

The good news of Jesus is so simple that a child can understand it. But the implications of that good news are rich and complex. Exploring these implications demands the greatest honesty and deepest humility. Having just presented the most comprehensive explanation of the gospel ever written in Romans chapters 1-8, the apostle Paul is now going to lead us into even deeper waters in chapters 9-11. His purpose in doing so is not to turn us into stuffy know-it-alls who say, in a rather academic tone, “Isn’t all of this very interesting.” Paul’s goal is to transform us into wide-eyed worshipers who exclaim, along with him, “Oh the depths of the riches of the wisdom and knowledge of God!” Join us this fall at Risen Hope as we plunge into the depths of the Christian gospel and come up worshiping God even more for his great salvation.
