Bison Watch Party - NDSU vs Citadel

THIS WEEK: North Dakota State opens the 2025 football season this Saturday, Aug. 30, against The Citadel from the Southern Conference. Game time is noon ET at Johnson Hagood Stadium (11,427) in Charleston, S.C.

THE SERIES: This will be the first meeting between North Dakota State and The Citadel. NDSU is 10-0 against Southern Conference teams including a 38-35 win at East Tennessee State last year and a 31-7 home win over Mercer in last year's NCAA quarterfinals. This will be The Citadel's first game against the Missouri Valley Football Conference.

SEASON OPENERS: This is the 129th season-opening game for the Bison. North Dakota State is 90-32-6 in season openers. NDSU had won eight straight lid-lifters before last year's 31-26 loss at Colorado.
