In “u ( ) i”, Ang Kia Yee riffs into the u/i dynamic, blurring the line between user interface and interpersonal relations. In “An Acceptable Time”, Jasmine Goh contemplates time and connection with drawings by Chantel Foo. In “Haunted House”, Yeow Kai Chai gleans the echoes of intimate/communal histories after a visit to the titular building in Milan through pencil sketches and photographs. In “The Museum of Uncertainty”, Yong Shu Hoong opens up about being shanghaied between certitude and loss via treated photographs. The design is by Fiona Koh of Whisky and Foxtrot, and the paper generously provided by Jane Goh of RJ Paper.
This book launch is part of the inaugural Dakota Dreams Festive Sale, a two-day event featuring titles by Dakota Books, Word Image, Pagesetters, Ethos and other publishers.
