About this event
How can empathy help us move through conflict—whether in teams, families, or communities? What could happen if we all came together to make real change?
In this session of Stories of Resilience, we spotlight two changemakers from A Good Space Co-operative who use Nonviolent Communication (NVC) to build deeper understanding, collaboration, and resilience in their work and lives.
About our Speakers
Tan Yi Han
Peace Planter and NVC Lead at A Good Space
Yi Han discovered how Nonviolent Communication transformed his way of life, equipping him with tools to navigate conflict with empathy and clarity. His story shows how resilience grows when we learn to listen deeply and respond compassionately.
Ashokan Ramakrishnan
Chairperson of A Good Space and Honorary Secretary of SPARK.
For Ash, NVC is a key to unlocking empathy and collaboration across differences. Drawing from personal and professional challenges, he demonstrates how resilience can emerge when we embrace diversity and build bridges instead of walls.
Through their stories, we will explore how conflict can become an opportunity for growth, and how resilience is strengthened by community, dialogue, and shared humanity.
About A Good Space
A Good Space is a community of 35 changemakers (and more) who believe in working together to do more good.
Whether raising $1.12 million for low-income families, packing 2,400 care packs for migrant workers, or generating 40+ ideas in Forward SG conversations, these changemakers come together to tackle complex social issues.
