LCS September Chapter Meeting - Hushed But Heard

Hushed but Heard marks the launch of a two-part series on evaluation — the skill of giving feedback. Feedback is something we all do every day, whether guiding a colleague at work, encouraging a friend, or supporting family at home. This meeting brings that everyday skill into focus, showing how to give feedback that is clear, constructive, and impactful.

Here’s what to expect: you’ll hear four prepared speeches, each followed by a special round of evaluations. For every speech, three evaluators will be assigned — but only one will be randomly chosen to share their thoughts on stage. The others will take on the role of silent evaluators, sharpening their listening and analytical skills in the process.
