CONVENE 清雅集 EP.7 - Resolution 展望

As 2026 approaches, we gather for the final episode of Convene this year, a space to reflect, release, and attune to the intentions we wish to carry forward. To guide us on this journey, we invite Dr Foo, a multi-instrumentalist and DJ whose sonic journeys awaken both stillness and transformation.

From his beginnings as an underground club DJ in Melbourne to his immersion in yogic practices in India and Bali, he has spent over a decade exploring the healing power of sound. His work weaves together Himalayan singing bowls, handpan, harp, and hypnotic electronic soundscapes, spanning cultures to create deep sonic tapestries that embrace both darkness and light — reminding us that “no mud, no lotus.”

For this year’s closing Convene, Dr Foo will craft a unique sound journey, blending ancient traditions, modern frequencies, and soulful melodies — reminding us not to forget our cultural roots even as we look ahead. In this circle of sound, the old and the new meet: ancestral echoes grounding us, future rhythms calling us forward.

Join us as we close 2025 with resonance, presence, and collective intention, stepping into the new year rooted, renewed, and attuned.

About the artist

Sek Sheng (aka Dr Foo)

Sek Sheng, also known by his artist name ‘Dr Foo’, is a sound meditation facilitator, multi-instrumentalist & DJ who holds space and prescribes music for oneness and integration of deeper aspects of the self. Starting as an underground club DJ in Melbourne to immersing in yogic journeys in India & Bali, to learning the power of sound for therapy, he brings over 10 years of deep sonic tapestry for wellbeing.

His trademark eclectic sound healing journeys weave instruments such as Himalayan singing bowls, handpan & harp with hypnotic electronic & ethnic music across cultures, promoting regulation, understanding, and expansiveness. There is an emphasis on owning our darkness before true healing and expansion can occur—no mud, no lotus.

His unique integration of electronic binaural frequencies in sound meditation design with traditional yogic and sound healing practices presents deep and etheric journeys that move the soul.

As a DJ, he plays Progressive, Downtempo, World and Ethnic music, with an inclination for deep journeys that integrate raw emotions with soulful melodies that promote cross-cultural understanding, oneness, and expansiveness.

In recent years, he has curated sound healing journeys, soundscapes for yoga and meditation events, as well as conscious/ecstatic dance events across various studios and festivals
