Hindu Centre is pleased to restart religious classes by K Kathirasan after a gap of nearly 14 years. For newcomers, Kathirasan has been the pioneer of Hinduism studies at the Hindu Centre from the start of the century. He was also instrumental in training three batches of Hinduism teachers and one batch of Yoga teachers and several batches of Mitra volunteers.
Kathirasan teaches Hinduism and its various aspects such as Vedanta and Vedic Mindfulness in their authentic form and at the same time frames them in the modern context. He does not hold back anything from the students and generously shares the knowledge and their original sources.
He also encourages students to understand the pedagogy of this teaching tradition so that they can independently study and analyse the scriptures and eventually not depend upon him.
Two of Kathirasan's lecture series have been published as books - "The Advaita Vedanta of Shiva Samhita" and the "Forty Steps to Liberation" highlighting the depth he brings to each of his sessions.
