1-to-1 Phonics & Reading Intensive Course (Tuesdays & Thursdays)

Many K2 children can recognise letters but still struggle to blend sounds, read fluently, or spell simple words. This individualised 1-to-1 intensive course is designed to bridge those gaps — building your child’s confidence, fluency, and love for reading before Primary 1 begins.

Each session is fully personalised to meet your child’s learning needs.
Through fun phonics games, interactive reading tasks, and guided spelling practice, your child will gain the skills to read independently, spell accurately, and enjoy books.

This 10-session course gives your child a strong literacy foundation to make the Primary 1 transition smooth and successful.

Over 10 individual sessions, your child will:
✅ Master letter sounds (A–Z and key digraphs like sh, ch, th, ee, ai, oa)
✅ Blend and decode words accurately
✅ Segment words for spelling
✅ Build sight word recognition and reading fluency
✅ Strengthen listening and comprehension skills
✅ Practise reading short stories with guidance
✅ Improve pencil control and word writing for spelling tasks
✅ Gain confidence reading aloud and understanding meaning

By the end of the course, your child will be able to:

• Read short sentences and passages independently
• Decode and spell common CVC and CVCC words
• Recognise high-frequency words used in Primary 1 books
• Answer simple comprehension questions
• Approach reading tasks with confidence and enthusiasm

• K2 children entering Primary 1 in 2026
• P1 children entering Primary 2 in 2026 but still struggle with reading
• Children who struggle with phonics, blending, or reading fluency
