A fun filled evening where you will learn the fundamentals of making a great coffee, how to pull espresso shots, steam milk and latte art!

About this Event

Ever wanted to know what its like to be a trained barista behind our coffee bar? Or do you have a home machine that you are not sure how to use? Here at Melk Coffee Co we are offering a Barista training experience where we will show you just that. A fun filled evening where we will teach you the fundimentals of how to make a great coffee, how to pull an espresso shot and dial in the grinder, how to steam perfect milk and achieve basic latte art!

What The Evening Involves:

We will start with understanding what makes a good coffee and a bad coffee.
Understanding the importance of getting all the variables right.
Dialling in the grinder.
Loading the shot.
Pulling the shot, and timing the shot.
Tasting good shots and bad shots.
Steaming the milk.
Steaming alternative milks and how they differentiate.
Latte art and why it isn’t just for show

Our Aim:

Show you how we make great tasting coffee.
What fundamentals go into that process.
Teaching you how to use the LaMarzocco Linea PB.
Teaching you how to dial in grinders.
Teach you how to pull great shots at home.
Teach you how to steam milk at home.
Show you that making great coffee isn’t such a scary thought.
