Pawtraiture: Drawing your Beloved Pet

Bring your beloved pets to life on paper in this focused graphite drawing course. Designed for adult students in the beginner level, this class explores the fundamentals of capturing the basic structure and shape and eventually the unique personality and expression of animals using the versatile medium of graphite. Through guided exercises and personalized instruction, you’ll learn key techniques in proportion, texture, shading, and detail—essential for rendering lifelike fur, expressive eyes, and distinctive features. Working from photographs, you’ll develop a finished portrait of a pet of your choice. If you are an aspiring artist ready to take the first steps in drawing pet portraits, this course is for you! Please bring an 8X10 black and white photograph of the pet you wish to draw.

Register by 10/1/25 to get the early bird price of $209.00. After that date the cost will be $229.00.
