Book Review: “The Legend of the Poinsettia”

Diane Lawhon offers a review of Tomie dePaola’s story of a young girl who discovers the true spirit of giving. Unable to offer a gift of material value to Baby Jesus, she picks a handful of weeds that magically transform into brilliant crimson flowers, thus the custom of giving poinsettias during the holidays. The event is free and open to the public, but registration is required.
