Louisiana Secretary of State Nancy Landry announces the opening of an exhibit of original artworks by the ArkLaTex Art Guild, Second Fall Exhibition, from September 9 - September 26, 2025. The exhibit will open in the West Wing Gallery on Tuesday September 9, 2025 with a reception honoring the artists from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. LSEM Friends will provide light refreshments.
Kay R. Wallace, Show Chairperson for the newly organized ArkLaTex Art Guild, has assembled a dedicated and talented group for the Second Fall Exhibition of the Guild. According to Ms. Wallace, “The ArkLaTex Art Guild is a regional group dedicated to promoting artistic growth, education and appreciation for the visual arts.”
Artists exhibiting are: Carla Davis, Don Edwards, Sheila Farmer, Cindy Griffin, Ronnie Kidwell, Joanne Loeb, John McDonald, Melba Miller, Roger Shepherd and Kay R. Wallace.
“LSEM is excited about new artists having the opportunity of displaying their work in a museum setting for the public to appreciate,” according to gallery curator Nita Cole. The show will offer a variety of acrylic and oil paintings, and mixed media for sale.
The ArkLaTex Art Guild Premiere Exhibition will be on display in the West Wing Gallery until September 26, 2025. The public is invited to view the exhibit during regular museum hours: Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. until 4 p.m.
