Textbook Required: Textbooks are not included in the cost of the class. The test is based on the Louisiana Secretary of State's newest edition of "2025 The Fundamentals of Louisiana Notarial Law and Practice" available at www.sos.louisiana.gov or call (225) 922-0507 for further information. You will also need to purchase the Louisiana Notary Exam Sidepiece to the 2025 Study Guide by Steven Alan Childress (available on Amazon).
Important Information!
There were two large scale exams given by Sec. of State for 2025 this year- one in March and one in May; they both had administrations in Baton Rouge and Alexandria. The test’s format has changed and so has the testing schedule and setting. Tests are now two per weekend beginning September 10, 2025, with the last one for the calendar year to be given on November 20, 2025. This Notary Public Exam Prep course has been scheduled to give you the opportunity to take an exam in November 2025. Or you can choose to sit for an exam in 2026.
Those who are taking an exam in 2025 need to purchase the 2025 Fundamentals of Louisiana Notarial Law and Practice, which is the book issued by the Sec. of State each year that can be used by persons sitting for exams this specific year. Edits are made to the book each year, and my outlines/notes change accordingly. This book is needed if students plan to take 2025. Also needed for the is the Louisiana Notary Exam Sidepiece to the 2025 Study Guide by Steven Alan Childress. This is required for adding an index to the book to use while taking the notary exam.
