At Gayton Baptist, our heart is simple: to be disciples who make disciples of all generations. A disciple is someone who follows Jesus and grows to become more like Him — and discipling others means walking alongside them and encouraging their faith to grow, too.
Discipleship isn’t one-size-fits-all. It happens in many ways:
In larger gatherings where we worship together, learn from God’s Word, serve, and build community
In smaller groups where we pray, study, connect, and support one another
And in personal rhythms of reflection, learning, and daily spiritual growth
We’re already seeing God do great things here — through Bible studies, small groups, and ministry opportunities — but we believe there’s even more ahead. In a world that’s more “connected” than ever yet still feels lonely, we want to build deeper, more meaningful relationships that reflect the love of Christ.
That’s why this fall, we’re inviting everyone to join us for a churchwide Zoom study, “Find Your People” by Jennie Allen, all about building authentic, lasting community. We’ll meet Wednesdays at 5:00pm through November 5 (and recordings will be available if you miss a session). Then, on Sundays at 9:30am, we’ll gather for a short time of prayer in the church café. Handouts will also be available in our Discipleship Corner.
No matter your age or stage of life, you’re invited to be part of this journey. As we learn and grow together, we trust God will strengthen our church family — and send us out with even greater love, purpose, and unity.
