Join Climate Action Families for our annual Low Tide Beach Adventure — a beloved summer tradition for families to explore the wonders of the Salish Sea together!
(Meet at the lower parking lot – 2021 NW 190th St, Shoreline, WA 98177)
We’ll hike a scenic 5-mile round trip along the beach at low tide, heading 2.5 miles out to a spectacular sandy spit where we'll picnic, play, and enjoy tidepool discoveries. Expect to see incredible marine life with a -2.0 low tide peaking at 12:30 PM!
What to Expect:
- A fun, sandy/gravelly beach hike (2.5 miles each way)
- Tidepooling and sea creature spotting
- Lunch together on the sandbar (bring your own!)
- Beach playtime: wading, sandcastles, splashing, and exploring
What to Bring:
- Backpack with lunch & water bottle
- Clothes for the weather (shorts recommended if warm)
- Swimsuit, towel, extra clothes
- Sunscreen, sunglasses
- Shoes suitable for sand and gravel (or to carry if barefoot)
Important Notes:
