Join us for our 85th Rhubarb at The Triangle as we help our very own Kristina Diprose launch her debut pamphlet, and host our popular open mic for new writing.
Kristina Diprose grew up on the Yorkshire coast and now lives in Saltaire. Her writing explores ecological and mythological themes and our entanglement with the more-than-human world. Her poems have appeared in magazines and anthologies, including Mslexia, Strix, and Northern Gravy. She was a New Northern Poet with Ilkley Literature Festival in 2023, won the Oxford Canal Festival poetry prize in 2024, and has been shortlisted in the Artemesia Arts, Wolverhampton Literature Festival, Ginkgo Prize and Leeds Poetry Festival competitions. She is also a commissioned writer for the Bradford 2025 Wandering Imaginations project, in collaboration with the Brontë Parsonage and Writers Project of Ghana. Thin Spells (Black Cat Poetry Press, 2025) is her debut pamphlet.

Rhubarb is a pay-as-you feel event that welcomes poetry & prose readers on an open mic in the first half, followed by a headline set from an invited guest. If you want to read on the open mic, please book with us when you arrive. We generally offer 10 open mic slots of up to 4 minutes (squeezing in a few extras when we can). As always, listeners are also very welcome.
