Chi Jiimaan/Voyageur Canoe Training (ORCKA L1-L2 & Trip Leader)

Learn to paddle a chi jiimaan (Voyageur canoe)! This 5-day course is open to EVERYONE, whether you're stepping into a chi jiimaan for the first time or you're an experienced paddler refining your skills. No prior experience is needed—just a willingness to learn, paddle, and embrace the adventure! Indigenous paddlers are encouraged to participate.

September 7-12, 2025 on the shores of Lake Winnebago, Sherwood, WI. This course is great for camp staff, trip leaders, educational institutes, expedition training, team-building, and more. Course includes Voyageur Canoe Level 1, Level 2, & Trip Leader certifications, meals, on-site camping, and more. Hosted by 7th Fire Jiimaan Journey and NOW Outdoors and taught by expert instructors from ORCKA (the Ontario Recreational Canoeing and Kayaking Association).
