THE SESSION SYNDICATE is the result of session and touring legends, drummer Steve Ferrone (Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers, Chaka Khan) and bassist “Ready” Freddie Washington (Steely Dan, Whitney Houston), both suggesting to keyboardist Jeff Babko (Jimmy Kimmel Live, James Taylor) that a “hot live band” be formed. Babko thought it would be incredible to feature everyone playing the songs they made into iconic records, and brought guitarist Shane Theriot (Live From Darryl’s House, Dr. John) in, along with L.A.’s new crop of killer singers, Bella Hicks (Waitress) and Loren Smith (Michael Bublé). The top rate veteran horn section of saxophonist Scott Mayo (Sergio Mendes, Earth, Wind & Fire) & Mark Pender (Conan O’Brien, Bruce Springsteen) make up this session supergroup, playing the songs from your record collection you never got to hear live from the people who played them first. Expect high energy top-notch, world class funk, R&B with a touch of pop, jazz and rock & roll. L.A.'s finest!
