About the event

Jentel Presents - October Jentel Residents Share Their Visual Artwork and Readings

This October, as the leaves turn and the air becomes crisper, come warm up at this month’s Jentel Presents. Our newest cohort comes from all over the country, from the west coast to the east coast. Jentel Presents provides the opportunity for these artists to share their visual artwork and writing with our enchanting Sheridan community. This event will take place on Tuesday, October 28, from 11:30 am – 1:00 pm, at the Sheridan County Fulmer Public Library Inner Circle in Sheridan. Feel free to bring your lunch; cookies will be provided. Jentel Presents is open to all who wish to join.

This month’s presenters include Sarah Berns, Winthrop, WA; A nonfiction writer; Sarah is a former wildland firefighter, current rancher, writer, and mother who is interested in female-driven stories with bold, complicated women at the center. Sandra Harris, Hardin, MT; A painter; Sandra was an oil painter at 11, still a passionate student of art at 71. Mostly a portrait painter, who discovered the thrill of outdoor plein-air during Wyoming winters. Jodi Ferrier, Washington, DC; A painter; Jodi is a visual artist inspired by her surroundings, especially new places. Jodi loves artist residencies, travel, hiking, dogs, and spending time with her family.  Edo Rosenblith, Saint Louis, MO; A multidisciplinary artist; Edo was born into a large Jewish/Ukrainian family of shoemakers. He enjoys long bike rides, cooking, coffee, and traveling. Edo’s last trip was to Argentina. Clay Jordan, Brooklyn, NY; Clay Jordan is a photographer who has published two photo books and lives in Brooklyn, N.Y.

Join us as Jentel hosts the next Jentel Presents on Tuesday, November 25, 2025.

The Jentel Artist Residency offers dedicated individuals a supportive environment in which to further their creative development. While at Jentel, visual artists, writers, and composers have the opportunity to experience unfettered time to allow for thoughtful reflection and meditation on the creative process in a setting that preserves the agricultural and historical integrity of the land.

The Jentel Artist Residency accepts applications twice a year from visual artists in all media, writers in all genres, and composers in all genres for a three-week residency. A residency includes comfortable accommodation; common living, dining, and recreation areas; a private workspace; and a stipend to help defray expenses during the program.
