St Johns’ Almshouse, Sherborne: Past and Present

Dr. Larry Burke will chart the history of the charity from its foundation in the 15th century to the present day. He delves into the archives to trace the development of the buildings and tease out stories of some of the Almshouse's more intriguing characters.

About the speaker: Dr. Larry Burke is a retired medical practitioner and has served as a Trustee of St. Johns' Almshouse for 25 years.

Doors open from 1.30pm. Tickets: £5 on the door, to include tea and cake. Free entry for members of Sherborne Museum.
